The Shire Multi-Academy Trust Vision.
“The Trust knows that success in modern Britain is dependent upon respecting, understanding and celebrating difference. This knowledge shapes our curriculum and the learning opportunities we provide for our children and families. We believe that parents and carers are key to developing these values and supporting the Trust to nurture, celebrate achievement and recognise success in order that all pupils effective and confident citizens of tomorrow.” The Shire MAT believes in fostering close relationships within the communities our School’s serve. In order to do this we employ a wide range of mechanisms to enable our parents/carers to work with us for the benefit of the children. It is vital that we create a climate of trust and shared ownership. Regular communication with parents has enabled us to gain parental and pupil views and use this information to enhance the provision we offer and the outcomes for children. Social media – Facebook, Twitter, Blogs are used as a vehicle through which we can provide instant accessibility for parents into the life of the school, coupled with School Council, Parents Meetings, Pupil Progress Meetings, supporting parents via our Parent Support Advisors, newsletters, questionnaires, special events and providing a base for community groups. Parental views are sought and actions taken in response to parental input, for example, embracing the 30 hours nursery funding and looking at providing before and after school wrap round care so that our parents can access the workplace.
